Weirdos and even-more-weird-weirdos..

Me and one of my friends we were just discussing, how in our hostel, we've come across so many weird guys... Thankfully no weird girls... Some cases in my hostel:

1. The toujours despo: Hits on every girl in the vicinity. To be honest... traumatizing experience. I mean, all guys are'nt that bad.. He just tries his luck everywhere.. Someone please tell him that trying too much doesnt really help... U gotta actually be good/ have it in u for a girl to allow u to hit on her... 
2. No communication weirdo: Actually doesnt talk to anyone in the vicinty.. in his own words.. created a fortress around himself.. bt the catch is.. why is he doing an MBA here..?? I mean.. if u cant work with people.. how are u ever going to work ANYWHERE??!!
3. The Stalker: Claims that he knows everything... Stalks u like crazy.. gets hold of your CV and actually checks out your blog.. or your fav sport or fav club!! I mean.. get a life stalker!! This much info would rather freak a grl out than impress her!! Get a life!!
4. The I-Know-It-All: Supposedly a know-it-all and thus stays aloof... no communication required for the lesser mortals.. People are generally out of their 'league'!! well, my message.. Have fun in your league... ALONE!!
5. The Super-Religious: Total Bhakt!! No alcohol, no grass, no butts... Nothing.. Superbly clean.. and freaks out at the thought of partying and 'having fun' in the normal way!! My message: Good Luck with survival in the corporate world!!

And there are new ones you meet everyday... the list goes on and on... :)
They make life interesting now.. dont they... :) ;)

My Bucket List

Since quite sometime, i wanted to put this up. The list of things i want to do before i die... So here goes...

1.  Visit Paris, Rome, Barcelona and London.
2. Make a road trip around India.
3. Do a world tour on a ship!
4. Own a large farmhouse in my name.
5. Own a VW Beetle.
6. Get back to playing the casio.
7. Cook a lavish meal all by myself.
8. Get completely sloshed!
9. Live independent in my own place.
10. Visit Highbury and the Emirates Stadium.
11. Watch the final of FIFA World Cup and UEFA Champions League.
12. Watch the final at Center court at the Wimbledon.
13. Watch Sachin lift the WC for India. (Not in my hands unfortunately! :(  )
14. Become a teacher after 40 or 45.
15. Go bunjee jumping, para gliding, skydiving...

and several more....

Sports... Play and much more...

I am at SIMSR... playing Basketball and Throwball for my class team... I learnt throwball 4 days ago... and i touched basketball after 5 years... But it is an amazing experience... Sport is an excellent way to bring people together... teach the importance of team and the final objective being more important than your personal goal.. No wonder organisations use this tool so often in team building.. you strategise, plan, co-ordinate, play (and get ur ass off the chair for once!!) , win, lose, and learn so much... I have observed that people who are excellent sportsmen also know how to handle losses in real life..

I'll give an example... Fabien Marsaud... a 6ft. 5" guy...played 5 sports ... Football, tennis, athletics, swimming and his true love... Basketball.. he was one of the youngest players in the whole of France to get a contract with a club... But destiny willed otherwise... After a life altering accident in the swimming pool, he damaged his spine and was bed ridden... Doctors told he might not even walk again... Imagine... a guy whose life was sports couldnt do any activity... After two years, he started recovering.. He took up slam poetry as a passtime.. Now he motivates people all over the country to not give up and get going...

Sport is one of those things that gives u this capability... Resilience.. The ability to get back up and strike back at things... I am glad that i found it back here... Somewhere i did miss it... Thank You.. my team mates, my class and my family... For a culture that makes sure you not just survive.. but also exist and flourish!!

3. Mein in sports gear... (Athletes and their bodies.... ummmmm !!)
