Verdict and beyond...

Finally Kasab has been given capital punishment. By indian standards, this justice is still 'in time'. When cases are going on for years and years, i must say that i am impressed and proud that the government and the judiciary took this incident seriously enough for the verdict to be out in 1 and half years.
As a mumbaikar, i am extremely satisfied. He deserved it for his actions. But i also understand that hanging Kasab, will in no way reduce the pain and the scars that 26/11 left on our minds and existence. And i just want the authorities to realise something:
1. We as citizens expecting security, are ready for scrutiny by government agencies. we dont mind the extra queues as long as there's an assurance that it is providing that security for our life.
2. All this exhuberance over this verdict seems unnecessary... because anything lesser than capital punishment would've been justice denied.
3. Prevention is better than cure is more applicable here than anywhere else. Let something like this not happen in the first place (and then blaming our intelligence agencies for the same!!) Lets sharpen our senses and help agencies to work. And agencies better work!!
Lets put security before our inconveniences... Lets put the nation before money... Lets put people's lives before anything else...
