Outdated!

Science is one of the fastest things in our life today. Today's latest technology is outdated tomorrow. who would've imagined that touch-screen phones would be so affordable... 3 years ago, it was a matter of awe and prestige. Today, its a way of life. ditto with the blackberrys and the iphones of the world.

Not just technology, but the general standard of living also becomes outdated. Fashions change. i feel obsolete when i see people 5 years younger than me flaunting their wealth...which in reality is not even their hard-earned money!! the generation gap has reduced from 20-25 years to 5 years. My grandparents and parents can relate to each other... me and my parents..hardly.. i wonder what will it be between me and my kids??!! a B.Com was considered a great degree 30 years ago. Today no one gives you a second thought with just B.Com on your C.V. Competition is just raising the bar consistently.

Also somewhere the hierarchy of the society is disturbed. An employee doesn't respect his boss because he's not updated with the latest software.. Kids become impatient with parents cuz they aren't as comfortable with the  computer and the internet. and there are kids who've grown up surrounded by gadgets...and somehow their childhood is lost there.they grow up so fast that you don't feel they are of 10 or 12 years.

But in this hustle and bustle, the sweet taste of life is forgotten. How delicious is the food cooked in open and in the traditional way as compared to something as (i dare say!!) 'tasteless' as a microwave!! and how a hand written letter can do so much more than an email or 'tweet'!! how youth and teenage was more about the 'first love' than entrance exams!!

Lets enjoy this life. we're given only shot. and technology is a tool. we're already way too dependent on that. lets try living life as humans too. And not just another pair of profiles on facebook!!
